I hope everyone stayed safe through the storm! Now that all of our baseline testing is complete, it's time to move forward in Reading and Writing.
In Reading we are beginning a lesson on how characters' traits, actions, and motivations move the story forward. We have already learned about the Realistic Fiction genre and now we will learn about the Historical Fiction genre and closely read about Susan B. Anthony and her contribution to women in history, as we note details about her character that help us understand why she acted the way she did!
In writing, we will begin noting character traits about the main characters in Toy Story, and students will be working toward working through the writing process to write their own "Toy" stories!!
If your student has not completed their "All About Me" Project, it needs to be turned in ASAP. It is a Social Studies grade and helps us learn more about one another!
